Play is essential to development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children. Within this group children will be guided to explore themselves, past trauma, their behaviors, and relationships with others. This group will work with a variety of creative approaches to facilitate growth and learning. We will engage through role-playing, story-telling, art, movement, and puppetry. Each session the group members will be encouraged to distill one thing they discovered or learned throughout the group. Bring your child and allow them to learn and grow in new ways.

If you are like most people, the idea of a group sounds intimidating. You may not want to talk about your" personal business" in front of other people. Our groups are different. They are designed to be supportive, a place where you can make friends and learn skills for coping with your life's challenges. Chances are they are similar to those of others in the small group. Just come and sit, you don't even have to talk. Your presence alone is supportive to others and you just might learn something along the way!
