A Helping Hand of Wilmington
We understand that there can be many challenges to office-based appointments: child-care, transportation, finances, care-giver responsibilities, symptoms of mental health issues and/or substance use disorders. We have therapists on staff who will come to your home or meet you at a community location to provide your therapy if that is something that you choose. Our dedicated staff who provide this service have previous experience working in the field providing community-based intervention and enjoy the unique benefits to this type of service. This service is provided at no additional cost to our clients.
CBT and emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Our relationships with our partners and families are the most important relationships in our lives. Close connection, ease in communication, and continued growth are what we strive for. When conflict occurs without skillful communication, disconnection can occur. Our clinicians are trained to work with the strengths of your family system to set goals, develop strategies, and resolve challenges.

Thoughts create feelings and affect behavior; not people, situations and events.
When therapy isn't enough to calm depression and anxiety or to stabilize mood swings or quiet voices others can't hear, medications may help. Taking medications is a private and personal decision. No one else has to know that you are taking medications to help you feel better. If and when the time is right for you, we have Medication Management providers on staff to meet with you, talk to you, and help you make a decision that is right for you.
When specific issues or mental health disorders begin to cause distress and interfere with your normal activities, it may be time to seek therapy. Distress can manifest itself in our bodies, our relationships, and our jobs in the form of problematic beliefs, feelings, behaviors and bodily sensations .A therapist can facilitate the process of change through application of evidence -based therapies like Cognitive Behavior Therapy and provide education in how to further achieve and maintain change on your own.
